Beach Bound Babes: Part 1 Modern

Its a beautiful Saturday morning in Southern California. The forecast is for 84 degrees today, and will continue to be in the 80s throughout this holiday weekend. The only thing weird is, it's still January! I have daydreams of  what it would be like to build a snowman, have a snowball fight, and make snow angels with my little family. Looks like we won't be going to the snow this year, since the only snow in California is man made. So instead of trying to make winter happen, we have decided to embrace this gorgeous sunshine, and head down to the beach!

Most clothing lines have their Resort/ Pre-Spring collections already in stores by January, and their Main Spring collections should be available within the next month or so. I'm excited to share with you all my shopping finds, which I have broken into three different categories, "Modern", "Surf", and "Preppy" to choose from, based on your little ones style and personality.

Modern

1. Mini Boden 2. Hoy Shoe Saltwater Sandals
3. Little Hip Squeaks 4. Baby Gap 5. Hello Apparel
6. Jameson Monroe 7. Peek Kids 8. Mini Boden
9. Tiny Bandits

When I think of Modern style, I think of bold prints, bright colors, and hipsters. This pear print bathing suit is very retro with its classic one piece shape, and vibrant pear print. Comes in sizes 3 to 6 months - 2 to 3 years. If you love this print, there is also a matching toweling poncho, and a pear print bucket hat. Check it out at (http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/)

My favorite sandals for girls are by a brand called Hoy Shoe Saltwater Sandals, are waterproof, and come in every color imagine able. From basics like black, tan, and navy, to vibrant colors like fuschia, lime, and turquoise, there is a color to go with every summertime outfit.  This brand also is for kids of all sizes starting at Baby 3 to a Big Kid 9. Shop the collection now at (www.nordstrom.com.)

This one is for the Modern Moms to tote to the beach with all their kids gear. I love the scribble print from little hip squeaks. This limited edition canvas tote can be found on (http://littlehipsqueaks.com/) for just $9! This is such a steal for this stylish carryall.

No "hipster" is complete without a pair of ray bans or sunglasses inspired by the iconic brand. These
roasted retro sunglasses from baby gap are beyond cool, and come in this awesome color called lava
orange. These sunglasses are one size fits all for your toddler boys. Although they are in the boy section these would look awesome on your little girls too!

If your kids are anything like Stella they love stickers, and putting them on their body. These temporary tattoos from Hello Apparel are just too cool! I promise your kids will get a kick out of their new fake ink, which they can sport on the beach. These tats come in a 4 pack for just $4 at www.hello apparel.com.

Head Wraps and bandanas are the coolest hair accessory for kiddos right now.  Jameson Monroe is an awesome shop on Etsy for all kinds of hair accessories. This chevron print head wrap comes in Newborn sizes to fault sizes, and comes in a myriad of colors. follow this shop on Facebook and receive 15 % off your first purchase. Shop Jameson Monroe collection on Etsy.

Peek Kids has the coolest beach tees for your little guys right now. This inky octopus screen tee is the coolest cover up for your little man while he is collecting seashells, and building sand forts. Sized to fit the dudes and the little dudes, you can purchase at (http://peekkids.com/)

Raise the hem lines, and take to the beach in these classic stripe bathers from Mini Boden. The short shorts are back, and these bright stripes are the perfect trunks for the coolest of kids. Sized to fit boys 1.5 years to 12 years and come in four different stripe combos. You can find them at (http://www.bodenusa.com/)

For your tiniest hipster this "rad" onsie is just that RAD! Sized 3 to 6 months to 18 to 24 months, this is another gender neutral piece that is sure to blow up your Insta feed with #dying. Check out more "cool clothes, for cool kids" at (http://tinybandits.com/.)

I hope you all get to enjoy beautiful sunshine today! If you are from out of state and experiencing chillier weather, enjoy that winter that I can only day dream about.

Stay tuned for parts 2 & 3 Beach Bound Babes.

Yours Truly,
Melissa
