Blog Love: BABY, daily

Hi guys! First off I just want to say a huge thank you to Melissa for having me on the blog today, it is such an honor and joy to be featured along side of another fellow mommy blogger who's an inspiration! I'm Lea, and I'm the blogger behind BABY, daily where I love to blog and share with you everything fashion related .. mini style. My daughter, Vivian, has really inspired me to act on my passion for fashion in a way I never thought possible. I enjoy putting together looks that are not only budget friendly, but are stylish and comfortable for not only my mini, but yours too!

My blog is for those of you who are interested in the how to's of design and styling: mini style. I'm sure some may think, umm how do I style a BABY??! I can't even style myself! Well, if you'd like to know I stay in my pajamas 80% of the time, and every once in a while can whip a cute outfit out. Lol! When it comes to your kids though, they seem to be easier to style, and regardless if you think you can style or not, what baby doesn't look cute in just a diaper?! ;)

Tee: Carters
Headband, Shorts & Belt: H&M
Sandlas: Zara

Blouse: Gap Kids

Basically this blog is all about YOU. Style is easy. Style is personal. Depending on your personality, whether it be your kids, or yourself, your style is unique and expresses who you are. When it comes to your kids, there is no wrong or right on style. Kids are so versatile and seriously can pull of ANY look. You don't have to be rich to give your kids good style, and that's where I come in; To share my tips, favorites, looks for less, and to show you how easy it can be! A little FYI sidenote: I also am a Target veteran and obsessive Etsy shopper, so if you're either of those, we should be friends! ;)

Below are just a few posts you will find on BABY, daily.

Anyways, I hope you guys check the blog out! You can also find me on these social media pages as well so come say HI! : Instagram // Facebook

I look forward to being new friends with all of you!

Happy National Donut Day

If you have logged onto any social media outlet today (chances are you have because you are here), you know that today is NATIONAL DONUT DAY! I think donuts might just be the best food ever invented. They are pretty to look at, and come in all different kinds of colors and flavors. Donuts also happen to be sinfully delicious and consumed during breakfast time. Every day should be National Donut Day, if you ask me! Although, that wouldn't quite help our obesity epidemic in our country.

Even though we can't eat donuts every day, there are some fun fashion and decor finds, I have found, that we can at least show our love for these delicious breakfast cakes in our every day lives. In fact some of these shops have even offered temporary discounts in honor of National Donut Day. All donut items from Little Bow and Arrow , like this gorgeous twirling peter pan collared dress featured in our round up can be purchased for 20% off today only, with code DONUTDAY20. One of my favorite bow shops Frosted Donut Designs is offering 15% off their entire shop (including this awesome donut bow) with code DONUTDEAL Today only.

This donut trend is something I can really get in to!

Introducing "Just Because" Handmades

You guys are going to loooooove today's shop spotlight! "Just Because" Handmades  is a fantastic accessory shop, specializing in hair clips, headwraps, and even bowties! She uses fabrics like felt, leather, suede, and stunning sparkle vinyl in some of her accessories. Almost all the bows and headwraps come in baby, and adult sizing, so even Mom can get in on these awesome accessories. (I mean why should kids get all the good stuff?)

Rebecca is the owner, creator, and designer of "Just Because" Handmades. She started designing hair pieces, by putting together felt flowered clips for a local shop. After receiving some great feedback, she started to make them for baby gifts and friends. Again, more great feedback, and more people asking to buy. She started to play with different fabrications, like leather scraps, and people really started to take notice. Her "Just Because" Handmades etsy shop opened in 2013, and her pieces are also sold at a stockist called Felicity Boutique, in Salem Oregon.

My absolute favorite pieces in her shop are her clips. Now that Stella has long hair, it's at that stage where it's always getting into her face. These little clips keep her bangs styled back, and give her lots of style at the same time.

Stella is wearing the Leather Arrow and Sparkle clip

Some of my favorite leather pieces in her shop include these leather bows that come in multiple colors. She also has these awesome skinny leather bows, which you can get in a clip, or on elastic. (Again these are for you ladies too!)

Even your cool little guys can enjoy theses edgy designs. Below are some of her leather bow tie styles.

If Sparkle is more your thing, Just Because Handmades, has the most exquisite sparkle bows, and elastic headbands; which you can clip the bows on, if your little doesn't have any hair yet. She also uses metallic leathers for her bows which create a beautiful sheen.

Last, but not least JB Handmades has some of the cutest headwraps for summer. From seersucker to bright floral prints, it's the perfect summer accessory.

And "Just Because" Rebecca loves our blog (get it), she is offering our readers a whoppin 25% discount which is valid today until June 14th! Just enter code 'RUNWAY25' to receive 25% off your entire purchase at Just Because Handmades.

Thank you so much, to the lovely Rebecca for the special offer. I hope you all love her designs as much as I do!

Yours truly,
Melissa

Dads Day Notes

We are less than two weeks away from Fathers Day, which means its time to show your "baby daddy" how much you love and appreciate him. Most guys just want to sleep in, watch their television shows, and get a big smooch from you and his babies on "his day". Of course some new cologne, a cool beer mug, or a classic "tie" wouldn't hurt either. Whatever you decide to give the Dad of your babies this Fathers Day make sure to complete the gift, with a a card that will get a big belly laugh.

Today On the blog I am featuring seven of my favorite Fathers Day cards, designed by small business owners. These cards are one of a kind, for your one of a kind dad.

For you Breaking Bad fans out there, this card is just the best! My dad loves Breakbad Bad, in fact sometimes he refers to himself as Walt. (My dad is like the nicest guy you will ever meet, so I don't quite see the relation, ha!)  Nevertheless this is what by Dad will be getting this Fathers Day.

To all the Dads out there, I hope you have a Happy Fathers Day! And seriously big thanks to those "who Didn't just hit it and quit it!" Love that one Mod by Mel!

Yours truly,
Melissa

Tomboy Chic

Since starting this blog in January we have one hundred percent embraced shopping from small business in addition to our favorite retail stores. I love mixing and matching the pieces to create looks that are unique, and speak to Stella's style. This "Tomboy Chic" tee from Geofox Apparel totally describes my bow loving, dirt playing, monster roaring princess. (Ps. This tee is available in adult sizes as well, so twinning is a total option here!)

Screen tees are obviously great for toddlers because they are comfortable for them to play in, but they are also super fun to style. You can go casual with a pair of leggings, tuck it into a girly skirt, or pair it with printed bloomers like the ones Stella wore today from Crew and Lu.

Tee Geofox Apparel | Headband House of Mia | Bloomers Crew and Lu | Sneakers Converse

To pair with casual clothes, and every day wear I am loving the knotted headbands from House of Mia. This one is part of a set of 3 called the Mod Collection. The reason I love these headbands, is that they are extremely well made from 100% organic cotton, and come in a variety of fun prints and colors. The headbands are extremely durable and keep the hair out of Stella's face.

I hope you enjoyed Stella's outfit of the day as much as I did! I'm already excited about taking these pieces and styling them in other ways.

I hope you have a great week!

In other news you still have two more days to enter our Kissy Kissy giveaway. See post for details.

Yours truly,
Melissa
